Loebig Ink Team Member: Gabriel Boyd
Marketing Intern Gabriel Boyd came to Loebig Ink by way of a recommendation from his father, Damon Boyd, who believed it could be a good fit for him and his skill set. So far, the projects he’s taken part in have very much been journeys into learning; his work as an intern has given him the opportunity to encounter aspects of business he’d never been aware of before. The newness of marketing concepts and practices makes working with Loebig Ink an interesting endeavor and Gabriel is ready for the new horizon.
Born in Rockford, Illinois, Gabriel moved to Aurora, Illinois in time for 6th grade. As he grew up in Aurora, challenges weren’t in short supply. He loved taking part in sports, but was very small for his age. Every sport he tried was an uphill climb. Education also had its difficulties.
“I always struggled with subjects such as math throughout my life,” he recalls. “However, my teachers and family there helped me overcome my weakness and turned it into a strength for me which is something I could’ve never anticipated.” Today Gabriel majors in Business Administration at Elmhurst University and he’s a defensive back on the football team.
So far Gabriel has been taking a jack-of-all-trades approach and is familiarizing himself with many of the services that Loebig Ink provides. He is particularly excited about having the opportunity to work with Social Media Specialist Philip Day. His favorite thing so far about working with Brian Loebig and the team is the support he and all the interns receive so that learning new material is easy to understand. He believes this internship is teaching him the value of staying on top of what happens behind the scenes of a good business.
When he’s not working on social media marketing and other services for Loebig Ink projects, Gabriel is usually keeping busy doing homework, playing football, or working at another job. One of the things he desires most in life is to have no debt and to live in financial freedom so he can travel the world. As he continues to grow and succeed at Loebig Ink, he certainly seems to be on the right track.
