Patricia Smith is a wife, mother, singer, and Graphic Designer. She is excited to have recently joined the Loebig Ink family!
Patricia fell in love with graphic design at the age of 18. Being fresh out of high school and when her church needed someone to do their newsletter, she offered her time and found joy in creating something from scratch that everyone could enjoy. She remembers using Microsoft Publisher templates and learning about the color palettes. A new world opened up to her and she set out to explore all she could do. When her pastor met Brian Loebig at a conference and mentioned Patricia, the wheels were set in motion for her Loebig Ink connection.
Patricia was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Prince George’s, Maryland. She has six siblings (two brothers and four sisters). After graduating from Crossland High School in Clinton, MD and the birth of her children, she attended Southern New Hampshire University to earn a BA in Graphic Design and Web Development – still an ongoing pursuit.
Since that first stint as church newsletter designer, Patricia has had many ups and downs trying to break into a field that she holds dear. She has put creative twists to presentations she created at corporate jobs and started her own freelance graphic design business, Patricia Marie Designs. She believes it is necessary to be a continual learner of her craft and rather than to be ashamed of mistakes, to embrace them as the challenges one needs to grow.
Family is a huge part of Patricia’s world. She is married to Karl Smith and they have three beautiful boys together: Jeremy (15), Justin (11), and Jaden (9). She and Karl have been together for 16 years and he is also passionate about graphic design. She counts each member of her family as a blessing and thanks God they are in her life.
Patricia’s other passion is singing gospel music. She fell in love with it as a seven-year-old through singing in the choir and listening to famous gospel singers. She has been singing ever since and would love to one day create an album of her original songs.
Patricia Smith says she is proud of joining the Loebig Ink team and of the exceptional work we do for customers seeking SEO and web design. We are equally proud to have her on board!
